When trying to code a block in my mod after testing out a feature, I noticed that my launcher gave me an error regarding said code in said block. But when I tried to go and view my code, the coding tab would appear, but stay completely gray. I tried deleting the application (saving my work elsewhere) and redownloading it, but to no avail. What can I do to fix this issue?
Which version do you use?
I'm using the latest version, 1.9.0.
In 1.9.0, the mod element code will open in a new tab for each file.
No I know, but every time it attempts to open the mod element code in said new tab, it just stays as a dark grey color and never shows the coding mechanism.
Could you show a screenshot of this?
As you can see, it's completely blank. The worst part is, the whole application freezes up, and I'm unable to either close this tab or interact with any buttons without force-quitting the app.
I can't see the screenshot, it shows me a broken image. Try running MCreator using mcreator.bat file and paste the contents of the terminal here when it crashes like you described.
I thought it was broken too, but all you need to do to view it is right-click the broken image, and open the image in a new tab. It should work.
And if that doesn't work, where can I find the mcreator.bat file?
Oh, you are talking about procedure editor, this is not a code editor. And you did not tell you were using Mac. This is a known bug and will be fixed in 1.9.1. Check this page for more info and a workaround: https://mcreator.net/tracker/issue/50994
Oh, thanks for letting me know! I'll be looking forwards to that update. Thanks again for your help!
You are welcome!
