I already have the model and texture for my mob, but I don't see a way to import them, i can import the model, but it does only show in the block model menu, not when I'm creating a mob, please help.

In your workspace:

On the left, click on resources. In the resources tab, click 3D models and texture mappings. Press the red "Import as java model". It will then ask you to set the animations.

After that is done, create an entity and select your java model in: Entity Model. Select the texture for the model in "Texture file of entity". That should be all.

If you are using software like BlockBench, when creating a new mob, press New > Modded Entity. Create your mob. Then press File > Export > Export Java Entity. Make sure that in File > Project, the Mob Geometry name doesn't contain wrong characters or else you won't be able to import them into MCreator succesfully.

Use OBJ and MTL when creating block models, not entity models. To my knowledge i don't think it's possible to make an entity with obj/mtl model. But you might be able to put that model back into your 3d software and then export it as java file.

I did a free model in blockbench and its a obj file, can I use that for a mob in mcreator? I was wanting to make a dog mod but the obj model isn't loading into the mob type.
