Rope like a lead for a grappling hook mod.

I am making grappling hook mod. And I want to know how I can make a rope that will look like a lead connected to projectile. I want it to pull player towards it when player jumps and projectile with rope disappear when grappling hook is not in hand(not disappearing when changing hands).
I already have a projectile and ranged item.
