problem with laser beam

hi I'm trying to use these blocks to make a laser beam with particles but I cant figure out how to make it so the particles stop going forward when it's less then 10 (the the temp length of the laser) so I'm here to ask how to do it

edit: all i know its something to do with the number of repeated times and the equation with the variables at the bottom of it
