Slash ability move

Wassup, Im trying to make an effect for an ability in Mcreator, and altough Ive been trying to wrap my head around it for a week, something always goes wrong. Ive been trying to make the effect as an entity that faces the direction as players yaw using code, but  it faces the correct yaw from South after 1 tick or so(with using procedures its like 2 seconds)Its been real struggles because of what seems as such a simple thing, and I cannot get it done. Ive tried the tricks from other forums like using teleport but that made it even worse. If you know how to help, or even have a completely different way of making something similiar as the effect, I will be glad to hear it :)
