Topic category: Feature requests and ideas for MCreator
I've beven using Mcreator for a while and made some pretty cool things with it. Overall it's a great modding tool with great developers. That being said, I feel like there are a few features its missing:
- A method to override player motion server side. I don't know how this would work, but ive seen a few recent mods do it
- Ranged item texture progression for bows and similar ranged items, to allow for proper bow pulling
- Edit the tick an entity deals damage during a melee attack to allow for animation syncing
- Allow entities to have proper villager-like trading menus
- Additional basic GUI icons like + or --> rather than have to import images
- A method to edit vanilla entities, items, and textures
- Better mount related entity AI. Currently the system requires separate procedures just for vertical movement
- Possibly an asset store, which could serve as an alternative monetization method
- A method to export procedures or specific mcreator elements
- Custom End Biomes
- A setting to increase the amount of air between the bottom and top of a custom cave biome to allow for more open caves
- Dedicated camera shake procedure
- A way to edit vanilla UI
- A procedure to make an entity face another (I understand this is available in procedures+ but still better to have it in the base software)
- A procedure to edit item / entity attributes (reach, base damage, base attack speed, etc. - once again I know there are plugins for this)
- Smithing table recipes
- Custom Archeology brushes
- An easier way to make oxidizing blocks
- A better cooldown system where holding an item in your offhand doesnt allow players to ignore the main-hand item's right-click related cooldown
I know this is a lot, but even just to see a few of these features in 2023.4 or 2023.5 would be great!
Forgot to add: the ability to make entities respond to sounds like warden
Also, just remembered there is a way to add smithing recipes oops
