So i'm making a mod and i want the helmet to be 3d. I watched a lot of tutorials and they say you need to export as .java and then import your texture to the paintings, logos, etc textures and then go to advanced helmet settings and i put in the texture, but the helmet texture isn't showing up. I put the from armor option and then it asked me to go to properties and put the layer 1 and layer 2 armor thing which i'm pretty sure wouldn't work with my 3d model. any help is appreciated
no import as Armor Texture OR import as Item Texture (idk why) if you are using Geckolib plugin, his animated armor element is much more simple to set too; you dont need to export 1 java per armor set, u just export the hole set in a single java and load on his element, i imagine you are not using it so you prb can find easy tutorials, all you have to do thou is import the Armor Texture (it will ask you for layer 1 and layer 2 - u set them there) then load on the element, on each part (click on the expand button in the bottom of each armor part set )
