Topic category: Help with MCreator software
Every time I try to create certain elements in the workspace, everything freezes and then crashes. I don't know what to do at this point
The element types that crash my workspace are:
- Advancement
- Command
- Feature
- Living Entity
- Procedure
I've tested all the others and they work fine. I can't find a solution, and I can't trace the source of the problem, either. The only two things I can connect to it are downloading Hollow Knight and beating it with 112%, and with the new MCreator update coming out. Both of these happened around the same time that this issue started happening. I'm connecting it to Hollow Knight as it's a very big game file-wise and ever since I got 112% I've found that my computer is lagging a lot more. I don't have a drive to move the game onto so I have no way of knowing if the issue is related to my computer's lack of memory.
If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it!! I can attach the crash report if it's helpful, but it's really long so I don't expect anyone to read through it.
I assume macOS. What is the exact OS version and architecture type?
What MCreator version?
Macbook Air (M1) running MacOS Monterey version 12.5.1
I also need this part of the information.
If you are not using the latest version, I recommend updating MCreator to 2024.1.
It may also make sense to update macOS to 14
Also double check you are using version for AARCH64 and not Intel
Right, sorry. I'm on 2023.4 and need to clear some space to update, which I've been planning on doing soon. I'm fairly certain I'm using the right version but will update either way, so I'll be sure to select the right version then. Thanks for your help! I'll post a follow-up if I'm still having trouble after updating.
