Anvil block

I'm trying to create an avil block that repairs whaterver is put in it, the thing is that I dont really know which procedure I should use.
Because I wanto a GUI to put the item in not just a right click on a block and call it a day.

I also looked around the forum and online but I haven't find a solution yet.
