Swim and walk animations

So I'm making new creatures that can swim and walk. But i need to make different custom animations for swimming and walking. Also i need to make the creatures attack only if they have a spear (a new weapon). When i add the swim animation normally, it plays only when it's chasing a target. It looks very weird on land.
