Need help with making a mod here all the sounds in minecraft are replaced with new ones

I was thinking on creating a mod where all sounds that play in minecraft are replaced with new ones i will try to create. but i'm new to modding and everything seems confusing still. i was wondering is there anyone who knows how to do it? if so please, i appreaciate the instructions, since starting from scratch and having zero experience doesn't seem to get me too far. i haven't been able to find any tutorials on this topic yet.
