how to make minecraft ignore a nbt change from another mod?

so basically i downloaded a plugin that makes make addons for a mod i like, the mod(i want to make addons for) changes a nbt value in forgecaps named PlayerCurseTechnique1 to 1 IF secondtechnique = true, so the thing is i want to change playercursetechnique1 WHILE secondtechnique is true, how can i make minecraft ignore the mods order and do mine and change playercursetechnique1 to what I want. i am new and only uses blocks so please try to explain it, and thanks.
