Topic category: Help with modding (Java Edition)
I'm trying to convert my mod from Neoforge to Forge, but it keeps crashing when I click create new world.
I've tried deleting every single element in the work space to narrow it down, and it keeps crashing. It's an empty workspace. I'm very confused.
Any help is appreciated
What versions are you going between?
I'm working in 2024.2, going from Neoforge 1.20.6 to Forge 1.20.1
Also, update: to do a bit more testing, I made a new completely empty workspace in Neoforge and converted it to forge- it won't even boot minecraft. Looks like the entire conversion process is broken.
usually downgrading isn't really supported by most software, so that's probably what's happening here too..

Looking into it, neoforge can run all forge mods so I don't have to worry about that- just have to wait until other mods start updating to 1.20.6
Guess I'll just be ahead of the curve for a bit
