While I was working on a procedure in the block editor, it suddenly stopped letting me drag blocks or interact with the blocks. I also was unable to interact with the blocks in the other procedures I had open in other tabs. When I opened another procedure, the block editor did not load at all and the screen was blank in that area. I saved the procedure I was working on, then I exited and re-opened MCreator. When I opened the procedure that I had saved, I saw the error message: "Could not load mod element. This mod does not have saved instance, is corrupted, or incompatible. You may need to delete and remake this mod element."
I opened the file containing my procedure, "<mod folder>/elements/SetBlocks.mod.json" with Notepad and the entire contents of the file was null
.
The editor saving a corrupted procedure caused me to lose a lot of work. I am using MCreator 2024.3, and making a mod for Neoforge 1.21.1. I had a few plugins loaded, but they were just other generators that I wasn't using.
I hope this bug can be fixed soon, but at least maybe this will be a warning to others. If this happens to you, don't save!
