Topic category: Help with MCreator software
I'm using the most recent version of 2024.4.
I used the workspace settings tab to rename my mod, and when I opened MCreator again later, there were two copies of my mod workspace on the main menu, one with the old name and content and one with the new name and new content.
I used MCreator (right click on the main menu) and selected 'delete workspace' on the weird old copy of my current workspace-- and when I did it deleted all of my workspaces, bypassing my recycling folder and completely removing all of my MCreator content from my computer (checked the files app, it emptied my entire MCreator Workspaces folder).
I lost all of my work due to this, and I'm afraid other people might in the future as well. Please find a way to fix this in the next hotfix update!
Are you sure single delete worskpace click deleted not one but all of them?
I have tried this and could not replicate it.
Was there any warning about deletion, a confirmation message should also appear?
Also renaming the mod does not rename its workspace folder
Weird!
I actually tried to recreate it too so that I could upload a video for you, but I wasn't able to!
In the original bug, when I renamed my workspace title and namespace and refactored my workspace, it created two copies of the same workspace, one with the old name and one with the new name and deleting either permanently deleted all of my workspaces, even the ones that weren't related.
I've been having other isses with 2024.4 and some serious ones with 3d models, so maybe I just got a bad installation or something. I'll reinstall an older version and try to work stuff out from there.
Thanks for your help!
