I would like to learn how to texture blocks, items, entities, and more. If anyone has found tutorials, lessons, or other things that would be helpful for someone who is try to learn how to texture.
I would be thankful if you could share those things.
Thank you.
One thing I've liked using for textures is the noise feature
Also, to get the normal Minecraft textures, extract the official Minecraft .jar. then, navigate to where the textures are stored. Then you can import them into MCreator and edit them from there
kinda just study the offical textures a bit and try to aim for something similar it doesnt have to be perfect to fit in so dont worry
Ok, thank you for responding.
Make pallet of three to five colours of one basic colour like red.or download the texture file from the Minecraft wiki and load it as a template and trace it using the pallet you made.combine with other templates to form a vanilla like texture.
Some tools I use when dealing with textures.
Paint.net
Gimp
I use paint.net most of the time and I use GIMP for HD textures. I use MCreator to re-size GUIs on the fly and fine tune the textures I made using paint.net. I would download texture templates 64x64 and 64x32 to understand where the arms and legs are.
If you're going to make entity textures, try using blockbench. It has most vanilla mobs so you can easily recreate one.
