What should be in Chimerurgy?

I'm creating a global magic mod, and deciding that golems are too corny, I decided that I would have Chimeras. I want to know what you think about this, as well as what you think should be in this mechanic.

I have a few ideas in my head, but I want to hear other people's opinions.
