Topic category: Help with Minecraft modding (Java Edition)
I doing an sword item, but it don't get extra damage if Sharpness enchant is used on it.
Is it just a visual bug? It just don't showing that it has more damage, I tested out and it needs 4 critical hits to take down a Hoglin without any Sharpness and 3 critical hits with Sharpness 5.
Still, how do I make extra damage visible?

I have noticed this with vanilla swords recently as well. I'm not sure what is causing it to happen, but I don't think it is anything wrong with your sword.
Maybe Mojang changed how sharpness is displayed, but I'm really not sure?
