Topic category: Feature requests and ideas for MCreator
The main issue i see with a lot of entity stuff, is the lack of the option to make their texture/model translucent, currently only blocks and items can have that, would be very helpful if entitites did as well. Thanks!
What MCreator version are you using? Because in the one I'm using it does
Hi, the one i'm using is 2025.2, and i do not see such an option, you could be wronging it for "is entity model transparent".
I think that that makes it transparent, but maybe it's just because I used an already transparent model, although in game it looked a lot more transparent, but idk
It just makes the model transparent, not the texture, well it makes them BOTH transparent to make it clear, but for me i only want the texture itself to be transparent, similar to how you can do the same with tools and blocks
wdym?
you could use Planet Minecraft with the skin editor and make a texture for your entity, since Planet Minecraft supports transparency in skin textures
I made the texture Transparent, That option causes the whole model to become invisible because of the fact that it makes not only the texture translucent, but also the model itself, i tried it myself
try not ticking that 'is entity model transparent' because it makes both
it doesn't make the texture transparent in-game EVEN if it is transparent as a png, To make a texture transparent or render as transparent, entities need a special render type, there's no option to set that render type though
then idk, ig you could submit an idea for it for 2025.3
i mean this is a suggestion afterall and hopefully will be implemented?
