I'm currently working on a Vanilla Update type mod. And have been experimenting with custom item slots for capes and rings.
I'll release a tutorial soon as i've got everything working,
its fairly simple, well at least after a couple hours of whipping Claude & ChatGBT to help me fix some issues.
