Any plans for psoting MCreator on the Mac App store?

I saw recently about MCreator being available on the Microsoft store on Windows to allow people to support the project easily while also getting automatic updates.

I was wondering if there are any plans to post it on the Mac app store with the same/similar model? I know Apple can be a pain in the butt for developers and has a small user base, so I don't blame y'all if it just doesn't make sense to post there. However, I'd love to support the software through this model if possible and would like to know if it is on the table for macOS.

They probably won't add it since some people might just get MCreator and not do anything except just playing Minecraft for free without adding anything. So the devs won't add that

If, by “they”, you mean the MCreator team, I don’t think so because they already make MCreator available for free with that ability theoretically and monetize it through the Microsoft store. Also, if pirating Minecraft through mod making environments was a big deal, I’d imagine that Mojang/Microsoft would’ve gotten involved at some point.

If, by “they”, you mean Apple, I guess that’s possible but I am not familiar with the App Store guidelines, and that does seem kinda ridiculous reasoning, but I wouldn’t put it beyond Apple to have reasoning like that.

We planned to do that, but due to MCreator's complexity, it can't run in the sandbox that is wrapped around store apps

MCreator does not pirate the game.

The game is supplied via the mod development toolkit (e.g. NeoForge) that MCreator simply runs
