Update I am making a mod now, this has not been edited in a while but I still provide help to people using mcreator.

I have a weird problem when i created a dimension it gave me this error:
FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.

I'll try fiddling around to see if I can resolve this issue, also please provide the full error message not just the bottom part.
I have a problem where every time I click on one of the boxes for adding textures well the 2 I have used are the CUSTOM portal texture box and the gun texture box thes won't open the area where I select the texture please help me by the way I am on a mac I know its different from windows
So I see you are having a problem with the GUI of mcreator.
First of all, make sure you are using the latest version of mcreator before you do anything else. You can get your mcr file and export it over to the new version. Most bugs are fixed in the latest versions.
Unfortanatly I do not own a mac and I have never experienced this problem while using mcreator myself. However I looked around for solutions and this could be a possible solution.
Go onto mcreator>preferences>use legacy GUI.
This will hopefully fix the problem for mac users as it is slightly different to the windows edition.

How create mob that shoots TNT in mcreator?
1.Add a new element and select gun (it does not have to be a gun, it can also be a bow).
2.Add event so when the bullet(can be textured as tnt later) hits a block it will
option A: explode (this will explode immediatly)
option B: Spawn entity > EntityTNTPrimed (this will spawn a tnt waiting to explode)
3. Add the event and continue making the gun with your textures and settings. If you want the bullet to look like tnt, set it as tnt.
4.Go to your mob and select it as mainhand where it will equip the weapon. Make sure the mob is set to aggressive and tick the box for ranged attacks.
A ttnt (trowable tnt) is in the mcreator dev mod
You can use the same instructions to make throwable tnt.
