Survey- What makes a good mod?

I want to do a quick survey for all mcreator users. It is all based on what a good mod is to you...

1. What is the most important factor to you when it comes to mods?

A - Quantity (Large amount of mods), B - Quality (Good textures, events, balanced gameplay etc.)

 

2. What mod element do you want modders to focus on when making mods?

Block, Armor, Dimension, Fuel, Structure Gen, Item, Plant, Gun, Command, GUI, Tool, Mob, Achievement, Creative Tab, Key Bind, Food, Biome, Recipe, Fluid, Overlay

 

3. What would you like to see in a mod?

A - Quests, B - Story, C - Adventure, D - Better PvE

It is primary research for my mod but it can be used as secondary research for other people's mod aswell.

I think all of them are important. You want a mod that's different in some sort of way and an enjoyable experience to make on the way.

1. I think, the most important factors for modders which have just begun modding is to go for option A. But you should also have a final project in mind due to which you should consider making the mod more better and diverse, both in measure of Quality of the mod and the quantity of things in the mod.

in short - A is good, but B is better.

2. For a simple mod, you should focus on the "Ruby" methodology. which means, you just make a mod with the Ruby ore and item, including the armour and it's crafting recipes.

But once you get the hang of it. You should focus on the Tech side of modding, which is hard, but it also makes the mod more Complex and diverse in functionality.

In short - All (mostly; blocks, items, tools, and GUIs)

3. To be honest, I think the PVE is a little overdone in the Mcreator community.

But only a few focus on the Quest area of modding (which is the most interesting).

The Story and Adventure can be titled as the same, and you can put in the idea of Quests into it, to mix it all together and make the Ultimate Mod. (a little PVE is also good)

In short - All (mostly, Quests)

 

But that's just my personal oppinion. I know there are better modders than me out there, that might tell you otherwise.

For me:

1) B (Minus the "Good Textures" part)

2) A focus on what their mod is about, so for a block mod: focus on blocks, for a weapon mod: focus on armor and weapons

1. B (even though most of my mods have quantity over quality, i'm trying to fix that in the persona series of mods)

2. I enjoy making Mobs because i can make all sorts of cool looking things.

3. All of the above honestly. I'm just hoping that another mod similar to the Legend Of Notch mod from way back could pop up. I miss that mod.
