In the new 1.7.9, its rather slow to port even SMALL workspaces.
Workspace importing is slower only for old workspaces because it needs to convert to a new workspace format.
Its only on look, if you quit MCreator after the bar freezes everything is normal again.
Will importing old workspaces convert events into the new procedure scheme?
Anyways how many time do I need to wait for installing the workspace? More than half an hour? (My workspace is 300~400 elements)
Sorry for bad English
I just closed and opened again MCreator and it worked
And fantastic! It imported all the events and it works! :D
It looks infinite but its really done.
How does it look when it gets stuck. Even though there is a simple fix, I would still like to find the cause. Can anyone help me reproduce this bug?
Try this: Make workspace with at least 93 mod elements and try to import it to latest MCreator
this must make the Converting code Bar get stuck
I don't know if this is because I closed and opened again MCreator, but I can't find events - I know that instead of events now there are procedures, but I can't find procedures
But they still work ingame. Every item, block, entity events work in game, however I can't find them. Is this because the old events are coded into the elements but I can't see them in MCreator?
Wes: I have tried this and the import worked without any issues. Would you mind sending me your workspace to me or opening a support ticket and attach the workspace there? It seems that this does not happen with all workspaces.
Raol: Events are not imported with new MCreator. Most likely as you closed MCreator when the import got stuck, the code was not updated and old code from previous MCreator was used for your mod elements.
Another useful thing would be if one could run MCreator using .bat file and copy the error log they get when they import the workspace and the import gets stuck. Thank you all!
I have reuploaded MCreator 1.7.9 with this bug fixed. Please uninstall your current 1.7.9 and install a new one. Then try to import workspace again. This time, it will import the workspace properly.
Please report back how it went and sorry for the inconvenience caused by this bug which slipped through our testing.
UPDATE (5.5 19:50 CET)
If you downloaded MCreator between 19:30 and 19:45, there was a critical error in it and it needs to be redownloaded again.
Can anyone confirm it works now?
I'l Do ticket so it will be easier to find
