im working on a mod that i really want to have a shield in especially in Minecraft 1.12.2 if you guys know how to make a shield i would really apprectiate it and i will give shout outs to the person that tells me how to make a shield in my mod Description
you can add a shield under items, but im not sure if that is supported in older versions
