I am making a new mod, called Terrors of the Deep, which will improve many things, mostly oceans. It will even add 2 new Ocean- themed dimensions (one like the end, as it will spawn final bosses). It will also add new things on land, and I need ideas for miscellaneous items, mobs, pretty much anything (although I don't think I need any more dimensions).

Yes I have been waiting for Mcreator for 1.13, also hoping that they add ocean biome compatibility and a couple of other features I have been waiting for.
Those ideas are cool! I like the mutant squid.
I think what you should add is some kind of R'lyeh structure, containing eldritch horrors beyond imagining.
Sharks, and piranhas, and please, don't forget the mighty Kraken! Also underwater laboratories, maybe add diving gear, and--wait for it--CANNONS! Like on a ship. Also, eels, normal and electric, and a new biome of very very deep ocean where there is no sunlight and the only light comes from bioluminescent fish and other disturbing creatures.

Here are a few things that come to my mind when i think of oceans: pirate ships, pirates, coral reefs, atlantis, poseidon, poseidons trident, whales, fishes, kraken, sharks, starfishes, sea turtles, octopuses, seahorses, ship wrecks with treasures, sirens, mairmaids, leviathans, hippocampus, scuba gear

You should definitely make whirlpools that appear randomly and suck blocks in.
