Creating a leave/bush block?

Hi, I want to create a bush type block but I do not know how to create a type of leave.
Please could I get some help on this?

To create a leaves block you add a block set the block transparant and select cutout and the other normal block values you want

So would it automatictaly add the foliage to the texture? And how would I model leaves with the foliage?
