I'm using (player) skins from:
Skincraft (Newgrounds)
Novaskin.me
but whenever I add their skin file and run the game they appear all garbled and glitched.
Is it because some skins I use have pixels? It can't be because the skins I use are for 1.8 and older, because I know for a fact that Novaskin.me is a resource pack creator for 1.10 and up and Minecraft has been using the same player skins since 1.9 so what is the problem?

Simple! You're using the wrong size texture! MCreator accepts only the 64x32 size (without that part of the legs separated!)
Uhh but I don’t remember seeing sizes for textures
But the Biped has it! :)
Hi there, I also have the same problem as Lonrad. Wherever I get the textures/skins from for the biped mob, and resize them to 64x32 it is still the same...I am wondering if the skin in it's flat unfolded form (if that makes sense) is somehow arranged wrong?
Biped textures aren't the same as player textures.
you have to take the top half of the player skin :)
I think you're supposed to take off the bottom half.
But I've never done it by removing the top half so that might work too.
