attempting to open a GUI for a custom crafting table crashes Minecraft

attempting to open a GUI for a custom crafting table crashes Minecraft

i am working on a custom crafting table, but when i attempt to open the gui binded to my designed block, Minecraft freezes but the music still plays as normal. I checked for any errors on my mod elements and no errors detected. i don't know what's going on but i'm hoping to fix it. here's a error log for more detail:
