Its nice that we have the ability to add different block bases such as stairs and fences but it would be nice to still add the ability to add different block models so you can add custom textures to these different bases, for example i want to make a glass stair but the default base for stairs has a wired texture with glass it would be nice to add my own texture so it all connects and doesn't look wired it just doesn't look nice when the textures don't work and the only other way of making it look nice is to make it a block but you cant change the dimensions and bounding box to make stairs you can make it a half slab at max but its not possible to make that other top part with out making it a full block.
