An entity that falls asleep when I use an object on it

Hello! I am trying to make an entity (an animal, monster, etc.) that falls asleep when I use an object on it. Any idea how to do it? I use Blockbench for modeling, just in case. Thanks! You are helping me a lot, people :)

There is no "asleep" or "no asleep", so it’s sure that you will have to hand code or try somethhing with tweaking some functionalities of MCreator.

I know it :) I'd just like to know if anyone has an idea on how to implement it. I think one way could be to limit the mobility of the mob by using an object on it. Also prevent it from attacking by changing its faction. What do you think? Am I getting too complicated?

No, it was the way I thought too. It should work, event if it’s surely not the best way to do.
