THIS MOD IS STILL IN HUGE DEVOLPMENT!!
VERSION(S) APPLICABLE: Currently, SRSM is only available for Minecraft 1.15! In the future I would LOVE to try and move it to Minecraft 1.7.10 or future updates like 1.16
NOTE: I'm still a beginner at modelling so these models will not look perfect all the time but that does not mean I don't try my best!!
NOTE: I will not be adding cars in my mod! Modelling cars seems a bit too difficult for me as of now, hopefully in the future but they will not be added in SRSM!
NOTE: As of now, since I'm American, my road signs will be based on the United States. But in the future, I might add international highway signs.
NOTE: This mod is a strict creative mode use only. There are currently no crafting recipes for the block models and I don't really intend to add them anytime soon.
What is SRSM?
Skittle's Random Stuff Mod, or SRSM, is a mod intended to add useful, random, and a large variety of realistic features to improve your Minecraft experiences. It's specifically designed for Minecraft builders who want to add better features to their city/town worlds to make it more realistic, such as highway road signs, powerlines, toll booths, etc. Unlike my previous first trial mod, Skittle's Realistic Items Mod, this is a comeback for my original mod, "Skittle's Random Stuff Mod" which normally had the intention of a butcher mod. I am thinking about adding a butcher mod section in this mod too, but I don't intend to add separate modules unlike before since it got too chaotic. I intend for this mod to have everything all in one, so this mod will have a tab for powerlines, city related things, road signs, highway related things, etc. In regards to the random part, it's usually intended to mean that there's no actual theme for the mod, even though building related features will be predominately focused. I might change the mod's name in the future though! This mod also has intentions to add interior furniture such as chairs, couches/sofas, tables, store shelves, interior for shops, cash registers, counters, etc.
What does SRSM include (Currently)?
The mod currently includes:
- Gas station pumps
- Railroad crossing gate
- Store fridge/freezer
- Large gas station sign board price display with title
- TONS of road signs (and still adding!)
- Large road signs
- Powerlines (more coming soon!)
- Bus map
- Bus stop signs
- Electric meter
What are your future plans for SRSM?
My future plans for this mod is add a large variety of EVERYTHING! I know that's a large plan but hopefully with time if I continue working on it, it will continue to thrive!
My future ideas to include in the mod are:
- Traffic lights
- Traffic cones
- Construction drums
- Wooden pallets
- Cinder blocks
- Bus stop (possibility)
- new animals/NPCs (possibility)
- Boiler furnace
- Pipes (possibility)
- Vending machines
- Stocked up store fridge/freezers
- Empty store fridge/freezers (but players can store their food items inside)
- pallets with items on them (decorative purposes)
- stocked up shelves (decorative purposes)
- Street lights (possibility)
I am thinking about adding a realistic butcher section to the mod where instead of limited varieties of meats, it goes seriously in depth with larger portions and varieties, although I might reconsider this in the future though. The idea is that when you kill an animal, say a chicken, it will drop a raw chicken, and then if you right click a certain custom block for chicken cuts, it will automatically give you all the meat cuts such as: 2 chicken legs, 2 chicken wings, a breast, etc. Although now my idea is instead, you add a knife and a whole chicken inside a custom made crafting table but is designed only for meat cuts, and it will output all the cuts of that animal (or the main cuts and then if you do it with the main cuts, it will give you different cuts. That's what the use of the knife tool will come in. This is just a rough idea, so don't be too pressured to try and understand what I mean right now :).
Most likely, you would want to see photos of my progress on the mod since that would gather the most attention lol so here are a couple of screenshots in game of the future and already released models in game! (Remember, I'm still learning my way around them through trial and error!)
Below is where my other threads are on different platforms where you can join and check the progress on the mod!
This is where you can find my mod to download via Mcreator's website: https://mcreator.net/modification/61746/skittles-random-stuff-mod

I would REALLY love to hear you guys' feedback! I'm generally among the people who's work isn't that widely shown off or isn't seen by many, but I really hope you guys give it chance <3!
Feedback & Requests (if any):
Finally, feedback and requests! It's important for me to gather feedback from you to see what you'd like me to improve on for future releases and/or my future mods! Whether it be additions, or block models on what I can improve on, I'll gladly take it!
You are also FREE to REQUEST for ANY IDEAS you'd like me to include in game that ARE NOT LISTED on the FUTURE IDEAS LIST and I'll let you know if I'll be capable of adding it or not! Although I would like a challenge (just as long as it's not too crazy haha!)
Unfortunately, as of now my block models are only able to be so tall. The highest I can go is 3 blocks, but I'm hoping in the future I find a model maker that's compatible for Minecraft that I can make them even taller! 48X48 is what I have to stick with. That's why for now, some of my block models that I'd like for them to be taller than 3 blocks, will be broken up into parts. I'm not a fan of it, but currently that's how it seems it'll need to work. Currently, the gas station price display sign is the only model I have broken into 2 parts to increase it's height.
Please do suggest me applications that will help me achieve this goal! I have tried a list of block models from this website: https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Programs_and_editors/3D_modeling and only 2 seemed to take a liking for me which I use for my models. Although, if you know one that isn't listed here and is great, please lemme know!
