I have about 2500 blocks in a code and its starting to lag badly, I have trouble moving and changing blocks now, any way to fix this?

I have about 2500 blocks in a code and its starting to lag badly, I have trouble moving and changing blocks now, any way to fix this?
That is a lot for a single procedure, can't you dismember it in different parts and call it by using the block call procedure?
