Because 1 person cannot make code, bugfix, and test three different versions of Minecraft in his free time, for free.
It was either never getting a new version (1.15.2) or keeping 1.12.2 forever.
However, I think that there is someone that is making a 1.12.2 plugin.
Yes keep the version even if it is bug
But then people will complain about missing features and bugs.
I'm pretty sure it is to do with Java updates. Not exactly sure. It is a bit annoying because I cant work on NecronCraft.
I open-sourced generator for 1.12.2 and if the demand was really that big, someone would likely start updating it by now.
