bedrock 1.16 and mccreator

Hi,

brand new to this modding stuff - managed to get resources modded using the json files, then discovered mccreator! :)

trying to make basic mods to bedrock 1.16 on it and they show up as addons ok when launching the minecraft client from the workspace, but are not present in the game - for example showing up in the inventory.

Working on hypothesis that mccreator doesnt support 1.16 yet? in which case - how do I downgrade bedrock to 1.14?/are other people able to work round this please ? yet to have any success with mccreator but it looks very well made so it must be the user :)

thanks

1. Minecraft 1.16 isn’t even out yet.

2. What version are you downgrading from?

There is no version higher than 1.14 for bedrock mods in MCreator. So I don’t know what you mean

Hmm. .Ok thanks for the reply.

When I load Minecraft I see the following..

It's the beta, 1.16 win10

I was under the impression I needed both beta and bedrock to use the SW?

I don't play myself..just dealing with the IDE to get my son up to speed. I guess then (reading between the lines )that the non beta bedrock can be modded and that that is version 1.14 which would match with mccreator?

Sorry if my understanding is off.

That is correct, the versions need to match.

Also, betas cannot have mods installed on them, as it wouldn't be worth a modder's time to update a mod every single week for a new beta, so we just wait until the full release comes out.

Ok thanks. One last thing. My son says the non beta is 1.15 but mccreator only mods 1.14? How do I get 1.14 if downgrading beta only takes me to 1.15? Ta
