Wanting to add stuff to an existing 1.12.2 mod (The Dalek Mod)

I don't know how to go about this i can add models i have made but i do not know how to make them an addon to The Dalek Mod i'm also wanting to mainly just copy some stuff but reskin it. Help is appreciated, Thanks in advance!
