How to make a helmet prevent endermen from getting angry when player looks at them?

How to make a helmet prevent endermen from getting angry when player looks at them?

I was wondering if there is a way to make it so that when you have a certain item on your head, when you look at endermen, they no longer get mad at you, like if you put a pumpkin on your head. Any help would be appreciated.

This is not possible without custom code.  Also, it would require you to edit the code of the endermen, which I believe removes support with mods that deals with enderman code.
