Is there some way to "strip" an existing vanilla block? [SOLVED]
Wed, 10/28/2020 - 15:20 (edited)

I want to allow the player to turn sandstone into a custom block using a pickaxe in a fashion similar to stripping a log. Seems simple enough, right? Check the player's main hand for a pickaxe on a right click and replace the block! But the issue is I cannot apply a procedure to sandstone since it is a vanilla block, not a custom one, and same goes for the pickaxes. Is there some workaround for this or some obvious solution I haven't seen? It isn't the worst thing in the world if there isn't any way to to it but If there is a way I would prefer that. Thanks in advance!

Note: I have searched around the site and google for a solution, but everything I've found so far is either not quite what I need or only works with custom blocks which is my main issue.

Thank you so much! My error was actually assuming procedures had to be attached to something to work. Thank you for responding to my dumb question so fast Klemen! Works flawlessly now.
