Topic category: Help with Minecraft modding (Java Edition)
Hello, I am pretty new to the MCreator environment. (I am running on MCr version 2020.5.46519)
I've recently been experimenting with models and have gotten two differing results.
I initially created a block model, a mix between a workbench and bookshelf, it worked perfectly and I was surprised that it was so easy to make.
However, when I attempted to create a model for an item, I would always get missing textures.
I've been trying to read some threads on the website and figure out why it wasn't working, however I never got anything to work.
A download to my two models (with textures) are provided here
If there is anything more I can provide that could help evaluate what is going wrong, I can attempt to get it.
Thank you
The solution to this problem and many other problems can be found in our knowledge base: https://mcreator.net/support/knowledgebase Please check the knowledge base before opening a new topic on the issue which has a known fix.
My issue here is that I have already attempted to read through the knowledge base to fix this.
Here are the following steps that I had already taken, based on the knowledge base pages that I read over.
(Common Blockbench model issues, JSON model renders broken)
- Texture is a PNG with a size of 16x16
- There is no model parent that could cause issue
- There is no non-standard model rotations
- There are no invalid characters used anywhere
- There is no BlockBench credit comment
- The model was created in the proper BlockBench workspace
- There are no issues with my UV mappings
I apologize if this is a very simple fix, I am just not seeing it or if I am misunderstanding something.
In such case, provide full console log (put it on pastebin or similar and link to it) after you look into the model.
