Im making an enchantment that is like smite or bane of arthropods but for illager like mobs, but when i hit them with the enchanted sword they receive the damage, but not the knockback or the area damage the sword does.

Having same problem.
Hey there, i have solution i found in one of the forums:
you can also change the damage multiplied for each level
