How to configure falling block particle color

MCreator blocks which are configured to be affected by gravity (and maybe ones which have the "sand" material type) generate falling dust particles when suspended in midair, like vanilla sand and gravel. However, the particles are always pitch black. Is there a way to configure the particle color? If not, can they be disabled instead?

hmm no such luck unfortunately. I also tried changing the "block color on map" and "beacon color modifier" colors.
