Ideas what my mod should include

So I'm trying to make a mod called Another Editing Mod. It's sorta like world edit but not the same. My ideal was having a new tool that when u right click in air, it brings up a block list and you can choose/search the block. After left Clicking the block you want, the block is binded to the tool and all u have to do is right click or hold right click and go in a line or something. So if there's any other ideas anyone can come up with I'd gladly be willing to hear
