MCreator Not Starting

I'm wanting to make a mod, so I install MCreator on my Linux Mint 20.1 device, run the setup, double click the desktop icon, and it loads up. I begin editing, but eventually shut down the computer for the day. The next day, I log on to continue working, and nothing happens when I double-click the desktop icon. Re-running the setup script didn't do anything either.

I saw some older posts telling me to delete the preferences file, and it didn't doing anything.

This issue persists even after a full reinstall of MCreator.

Does anyone know how to fix this?
