how to make a scoreboard gui

Now before I say anything I already try to look for the answer but I just didn't understand them. Ok with tht outta the way how do I make a score board I saw some post saying use nbt or tag but idk  how to go about tht. Or how else to do it there need to be a guide for wht ur trying to achieve. But  Help.
