Topic category: Help with MCreator software
I don't know why it's happening, or if it's something that's more widely known, but for whatever reason MCreator is generating the exact same terrain in my Custom Dimension in every one of my save files.
Above are three screenshots taken from the same location in three entirely separate Minecraft worlds from my custom "Nether type" dimension.
each world has it's own seed, randomly generated like any typical minecraft world.
As you can see, while ore and plant generation are different between each, the shape of the terrain itself is exactly the same between the three.
I thought i was going insane at first, recognizing the pattern, but it's unmistakably the same terrain.
Is this something that's fixable? I don't remember it always being this way.
Edit: I don't know how to get the images on the post properly but just check out the Imgur link to see the example
I think it has something to do with the "seed" part of the JSON code. I have no idea how to even make the seeds random. I tried deleting the "seed" part, but the worlds I make still have the same seed as well...
I'm having the same issue. This is in version 2021.1
Terrain generation is always identical however, the plants, trees, and ore generation vary with each world.
This issue still exists in 2021.3 Halp
This has been this way since 1.16 changed the nether terrain generation. Although this only changed the nether (i think), my dimension is based on the normal overworld terrain generator, but for some reason it always generates the same biomes and terrain in general every time i load a new world. Since the 1.16 port, my mod has the same dimension patterns in every world, this was not the case for 1.15. I don't think that this is fixeable without custom coding a seed generator or something like that. by the way, your dimension looks sick, do you have uploaded your mod on curseforge or not yet? I wanna test it really bad XD
