I'm having trouble figuring out a way to make my food item plantable on soil, as there is not "right click procedure" listed when using food items. If anyone knows how to do this please let me know.
Try setting the plant to use the growable plant type model in the "visual and type" section. Also try setting the plant type to "crop" in the properties section. Hope this helps.
