Wolf-Like AI

I know there's posts on this topic that have been made before but none of them are recent, the most recent one being last year.

My friend and I are making a mod where we have included a new mob called a Sentry. We've got all of the textures and most of the functionality of the mob to work, including the taming. But even with the AI template in the AI and Goals section of the creature being for a tameable mob, we still can't get it to attack the entities that the owner attacks. Any help and suggestions would be appreciated because this is the last major issue we have to fix for our mod.
