when i import a texture it darkens the image, this has only happened recently because a similar older texture is lighter than its newer version. i am working on a mac on the 2020.5 version of mcreator if that helps.
I don't know how to fix it but, you can try making the texture lighter. I know you probably thought of that but it's always nice to have someone tell you that it is a good idea.
