Custom models animation problems (blockbench)

I just realized that when you make a custom model with Blockbench and rotate the parts, and then in the animation settings when you load up a custom Java model, if you give an animation to a cube that was rotated, the model will appear without the rotation in game, however, if you leave the model with no animations at all, it will appear with all the cubes rotated the way I set them, except of course, they won't move. So, my question is, is there any way to make a model that actually moves without all the cubes being all over the place? Its either have a flat model with no rotations or a mob that won't have animation when it walks, but I want to know if I can make the entity have rotated cubes while also having animations in Mcreator, is there a way??
