Opinions on this Mod - "Land of the Ancients"

Hi! My name is 99 or Cody. You can also call me Dalek, but i prefer the other names. I'm a LONGGGG time user of MCreator, but I tend to just lurk, I play with the program a lot, and I at least believe I'm quite good with the program. However I rarely to never released anything because I was never completely happy with the final results. However I've decided that on this Mod at least. I will finish it, and try my best to make it the best mod this site has ever seen!

This mod is based heavily on the Quasi-Lore of Minecraft. If this mod gets enough approval, I'll post finalized images of models and things, as I don't wanna get too far into this and learn its not very wanted.

Heres the concept:

Long ago, in the ancient world of minecraft. There was a race of Builders. These people roamed the planet, constructing buildings, demolishing forests, and traveling the seas. They built underwater temples, and created creatures to guard them. Harnessed magic to bring life into creatures made from materials. And placed additional power into some of these creatures so they could use magic to prevent any creature from harming their temples. The Builders eventually discovered a race of merchants, who were living in caves, and wandering. They taught them how to harvest crops, brew potions, and chart maps. Eventually building towns for them to live in with all of their needs provided.

However, at a certain point, they became bored. Running out of lands to explore, new maps to chart. Everything was starting to feel the same. They spent years studying the world, navigating the bedrock, and trying to find if maybe there was something below. They got a hole into the bottom of what they believe to be the world, and found a seemingly endless Void.

Anything dropped was never seen again, and it seemed like lowering things too far would destroy them. They had to find a way to the bottom of this. They tried many ideas, and eventually settled on utilizing Obsidian, the thing they had used to create the bases of their Enchanting Tables. It seemed to conduct magic well, and would hopefully be able to create a teleporter of some kind that would allow them to see what lied in the void below. Many things were tried, utilizing diamonds to try and create a capacitor, maybe using knowledge from the books around them as a catalyst, but nothing worked. One day a fire broke out, and the building the portal was built in was reduced to ashes, however, the portal was glowing, and it felt there was heat coming from it.

A few brave souls ventured into the unknown territory of this portal, with no knowledge of what would happen once they touched this new magical apparatus. Once they had ventured within, they found a world, much hotter than their own. An eerie silence with only the bubbling of lava nearby. Eventually they found large expanses, and traveled back and forth, inviting more Builders to follow them through, into this world of new resources. They caved out caves and massive mines where they stripped the world of its netherrack. Heating it and melting it into bars, which were used to construct large fortresses. They learned after traveling to this netherworld that when an animal died here, such as their pigs. The netherrack seemed to soak up something, leaving the body colder than the world around it.

This new material, was referred to as Soul Sand. They placed this next to their stairs, as they didnt know what it could be used for, when eventually a fungus seemed to emerge from it. This opened new possibilities in making potions and various other things. The builders had found so many things in this new world.

However, as more Builders fell due to the nether's harsh conditions, the more soul sand appeared. When they realized the skeletons the bodies had left behind when buried were now coming back. fallen builders made zombies in the overworld were already an issue. However, these skeletons equipped themselves with the bows from the builders, and were using them to increase the amount of death in the nether. Knocking them into lava, and continuing to make this worse and worse. However, when one builder died in the fortress, far from the netherrack. Something even worse appeared. This Skeleton utilized a sword, and bones were charred, creating a black appearance. The creature seemed to be able to such the very soul from your body. Almost like it was trying to come back to life.

These creatures appeared more and more, and eventually even more creatures were seemingly coming from the soul sand

A machine created with hot air, and a fire mechanism used to combat the skeletons in mass, seemingly absorbed enough from the soul valleys, where all the bodies were buried, that it gained sentience. Crying in pain whenever it did anything. But the worst was yet to come.

The builders knew that the nether was becoming more hostile, but this was nothing they couldnt handle. Until one day, a few wither skeletons had fallen into the soul sand valley. Their bodies hungry for the soul energy permeating within, suddenly a new creature arose.

The Wither.

More and more of these creatures appeared, the builders were rushing to escape, but there was no hope. After only a handful of them had escaped, the wither shattered their portals, and destroyed the areas to get to them. Trapping the Builders in this world. Slowly they lost their minds and evolved to fit this new environment. With a lack of strong materials, building was no longer an option. And they simply lived in their bastions. Eventually the warts and mushrooms they had planted long ago, created new species, which grew into large fungi, with wood like appearances. They were comfortable around these, feeling an odd sense of nostalgia for them. And are commonly found there even now.

The Builders who had escaped decided to venture into the skies instead, carving warnings into the sandstone of these monstrous creatures of the nether, that seemed to get bigger the more they killed. Warning anyone never to return there, destroying the portals they had built.

The Builders constructed underground strongholds to protect them in case the withers ever escaped. And tried to reach a new world using the rods of the blazes they had created to protect their fortress. These, when combined with an silver fish they put into a magical container, eventually produced a pearl that was able to transport the user, made new eyes. They created frames to hold these, hoping this new technology would bring them somewhere forever safe from the wither.

These pearls are attracted to themselves due to the magic that makes blazes stay whole. So once they had entered this world, they realized it was desolate, and there were thousands of islands. Excitedly they started making cities where they could raise more of these pearls to easily travel between these islands, and tried reconstructing the portal back to the Overworld. Until one day, trying to discover another new dimension. They unleashed the dragon.

This is the full story the mod will be exploring!

The mod starts out with you making a machine to send you back in time. However, if you do so, you lose everything. This is a one way trip.

You roam the ancient minecraft world, with creatures such as Mammoths, HUGE variants of creatures you know, and the ancestors of some you've already seen. A early ancestor of Villagers who barter with more than just emeralds. And the ancient builders. 3 1/2 foot tall humanoids that are slightly different in appearance to players. However, it seems they believe you to be another builder. Just a small one. As the journey progresses you will learn more about this ancient world than what i have put here, and it will end with the end of the builders. The unleashing of the dragon, trapping them in the end for all eternity.

Hope you guys like the concept! Lmk if i should continue with this!
